The Aurora Public Library District subscribes to several online databases and resources. Everything is available to access from a Library Building. If you’re a member of the Library District, most are available from any internet connected computer using just your library card number.
Reading Resources
The Indiana Digital Library (IDL) is the leading online service from which Library patrons can download audiobooks, eBooks, magazines, and videos for free. You can also download the Libby app from your app store.
NoveList is a fiction database that provides subject heading access, reviews, annotations, and much more for over 120,000 fiction titles. It also includes other content of interest to fiction readers, such as Author Read-alikes, Book Discussion Guides, BookTalks, and Feature Articles.
NoveList K-8, a fiction database, is designed with a bright, appealing layout, designed especially for elementary and middle schools. This resource contains enhanced subject access for over 60,000 fiction titles aimed at the K-8 population. Full-text reviews from sources like School Library Journal and Booklist are available for many titles.
This book club allows you to sample the first three chapters of popular books through your email. Just select which topics you’re interested in and submit your email address. You’ll soon start receiving the samples.

As of 2023, all newspapers on microfilm at the Depot have been digitized and made searchable on Newspapers.com! Search through 26 titles from 1836 to 2020. This resource is currently only available on library WiFi, unless the user has a paid Newspapers.com subscription.
