Poetry in the Margins
Join Ron Nicholson for “Poetry in the Margins”, a look at the poetry of those whose voices have too often been ignored or silenced. This one-hour lecture includes poems by female poets Sylvia Plath, Maya Angelou, Sappho, and Gwendolyn Brooks, but also from Black voices such as Langston Hughes, immigrant voices such as Blas Manuel De Luna, poet Chin Chin from the LGBTQ community, a survivor of the Japanese internment camps, indigenous poets, and more!
