Put your detective skills to the test this December! Come to the library and see if you can find Gingeremy Clark, a wanted gingerbread man who escaped from the oven. He was last seen hiding somewhere in the library and is wearing a disguise… If you find our gingerbread fugitive, talk to a report your findings to a librarian for a sweet treat!

APLD Holiday Events
Happy Holidays from your hometown library, the Aurora Public Library District! Looking for something fun to add to your holiday calendar? There will be a little of the library sprinkled in these special occasions across Southern Dearborn County, thanks to the Aurora Public Library District Foundation! Check it out!
On Saturday, December 2nd, visit the Moores Hill Winter Walk in downtown Moores Hill, where a special guest may be in attendance! Who could it be? Do I hear jingle bells and the hooves of reindeer? Holiday Closings
Happy Holidays!
This holiday season, the Aurora Public Library District will be closed for Christmas Saturday, December 24th, and Monday, December 26th. The library buildings will also be closed for New Year’s on Saturday, December 31st, and Monday, January 2nd.
We understand this may interfere with your checkout period for items. Please keep in mind that all items placed in the return drop boxes will be checked in according to the date the buildings were last open. If you would like to renew materials, you may visit or call during business hours at 812-926-0646. You can also renew your items while we are closed by visiting our website at eapld.org, selecting “My Account” at the top of the page, logging in using the ID number on the back of your card and the pin you set up, and selecting the items you would like to renew. As a reminder, DVDs are unable to be renewed.

December Take-It Make-It
Beginning on Monday, November 29th, we will have a brand new Take-It, Make-It craft available at the Aurora and Dillsboro Public Libraries! Take-It, Make-It activities are crafts that can be done at home with materials you can pick up at the library! Stop by the Aurora or Dillsboro Library anytime in December to pick up the supplies to make a sparkly holiday ornament to decorate your home this season!
