Just as traditional first aid and CPR training prepares you to help someone having a medical emergency, Mental Health First Aid prepares you to help someone having a mental health or substance abuse emergency stay safe and get transitioned to professional help.\u00a0\u00a0Thanks to a grant from SAMHSA, One Community One Family will be able to offer this training from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm for free to our patrons.\u00a0\u00a0Lunch will be provided during the training by the Aurora Library District Foundation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u00a0is\u00a0about 2 hours of online pre-work to do before attending the program.\u00a0\u00a0Registrants will receive information on this work about two weeks prior to the program.\u00a0\u00a0Computer access will be available at the Aurora Public Library, Dillsboro Public Library, or Local History Library @ The Depot for those who need it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
