Looking for a way to develop a healthy habit of walking—or want some company on your walking journey? The Purdue Extension Office and the Aurora Public Library District have teamed up to provide this additional support.
- Join the Purdue Extension Get Walkin’ program by emailing mparcell@purdue.edu. You will get a couple of emails each week through early November encouraging you. The email might also ask you to complete a survey to help track participants progress.
- Walk! You can walk independently or you can join Marcia Parcell or Leslie Sutherlin at Dillsboro Public Library at 8:30 am on Wednesdays and at Aurora Public Library at 8:30 am on Fridays, starting August 17. Marcia will also be at North Dearborn Library on Mondays at 8:30 am. Walks will be about 2 to 2.5 miles, but you can go as far or as short as you would like.
- APLD participants will get an insulated cup. Contact the library at 812-926-0646 to reserve your cup and spot to walk.
See you there!
