We’re going to start out our summer programs with two “Block” Parties presented by Marcia Parcell of the Dearborn County Extension Office. This will be the featured activity for the first of our weekly Construction Zone activity times and will take place at both Library branches.
The Block Party at the Dillsboro Public Library will begin at 2 PM on Tuesday, June 6th, and the Aurora Public Library Block Party will be the following day, June 7th at 2 PM. Children of all ages are invited to attend the Storyhour which begins at 1 PM and to stay for lots of fun with a variety of building blocks.
During each Block Party, you will have an opportunity to play and interact with your children as they learn a variety of math, science and social skills. For more information about the skills gained through block play, you can go to the Purdue Extension Block Party web page.
