Get ready to come to the library, because the Summer Reading Program is almost here! Registrations begin on Thursday, May 26th for all ages, including adults. Bring your kids down as soon as they get out of school and sign up the entire family for a summer of fun, activities, programs and fantastic reading. Our theme this year will promote health, fitness, sports and ways for everyone to stay active. Here’s what we offer each week for kids and teens, but your registration packet will let you know about other additional programs.
For ages 0-2, Spring offers a LapSit program at the Aurora Public Library on Fridays at 10 AM.
Ages 2 and 3 can come to the Aurora Public Library on Fridays at 11 AM for Spring’s Toddler Time.
Each Tuesday, beginning June 7th, programs will be held for 2 age groups at the Dillsboro Public Library. Storytime will be upstairs for ages 3-6 and there will be a program called the Winners’ Circle for ages 7-12 in the basement. Both of these programs begin at 11 AM.
On Wednesday, we move to the Aurora Public Library for the same two programs. Both Storytime and the Winners’ Circle will be offered at 11 AM and at 1 PM on Wednesdays, beginning June 8th.
On Thursday evenings, beginning June 9th, teens ages 13-19 are invited to the Aurora Public Library to “Get in the Game.” Programs will include food, fun and lots of games. Teens will receive a free copy of the book The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider when they register.
These are just the basic programs; make sure to pick up a registration packet and watch the blog, so you don’t miss any of other great programs.
